Apokaliptika is a multimedia work commissioned by the Berlin State Opera and was first named Opera bestial. The first version of the work was created as a result of collaboration between Fernand Arrabal, the author of the text, Edmund Kieselbach, who designed the objects, and Milko Kelemen. This “Reader” contains texts about Apokaliptika, several of which observe the work more closely. With texts from Milko Kelemen, in which he gives his views on theatre and explains the process of composing Apokaliptika, the central part of the book belongs to a detailed analysis of four scenes from the opera written by Susanne Erding, composer who studied with Kelemen in Stuttgart. Thus a significant work of Croatian music of our time has been given its theoretical presentation.
