The Croatian Music Information Centre (CMIC) of the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall has become a member of the Croatian Association of Music Libraries, Archives, and Documentation Centres (HUMKAD). This association ensures the preservation, organization, and accessibility of music heritage, fosters the exchange of knowledge and resources, and contributes to the development of collaboration among professionals and institutions in this important field. HUMKAD is also a member of the International Association of Music Libraries, Archives, and Documentation Centres (IAML), which promotes the preservation and accessibility of music resources globally, facilitating the connection of cultural and musical heritage across diverse nations.
The Croatian Music Information Centre is delighted to be part of this community, as this membership further strengthens its mission of promoting Croatian music and preserving the country’s music heritage. For many years, CMIC has been engaged in publishing projects such as the production of sheet music, books, and CDs dedicated to Croatian composers and musicians. Additionally, it leads digitization projects that ensure the preservation and accessibility of valuable works to a wider audience.
For MIC, membership in HUMKAD represents a new opportunity to establish collaborations with other members of the association and to further enhance projects dedicated to the preservation and promotion of Croatian music heritage.
